The Sound of Fabulous

The Hampton Roads Men's Chorus joins the Hampton Roads GLBT community in celebrating its proud heritage. The Chorus will sing crowd pleasing Broadway favorites from Ragtime, Wicked, and Nunsense among others. Following the songs of Broadway, the Chorus will sing a musical retrospective starting with Feelin' Groovy from the time of Stonewall and moving through our favorite Divas of the 70's including Diana, Donna, Barbra & Liza! The Chorus will close the show with some of our favorite gay antehms of the 80's from Culture Club, the Bangles and others!

June 26 HRMC Fundraiser!
The Oceanview Pier Party was a tremendous success! Thank you to all who attended. A special thank-you to promoter Mike Thomas for providing the HRMC with this fantastic fundraising opportunity. Thanks also to Miken'Mark for their usual superb promotional efforts.
To those of you who donated prizes for our raffles, we are very grateful. Thank you to Steve Cavanaugh & Tim Thomas at Norfolk Florist and Ferguson Center for the Arts for their donations, as well as Barry Menser of Barry's For Hair and Chip Tiffany and Mike Moore of Daniel Alan's Day Spa Salon.
Despite it being one of the hottest days of the summer, everyone had a great time as evidenced by the photos.
Songs From A Woman's Perspective

Where The Crossroads Meet!
Minds Wide Open!
May 15 and 16, 2010
The Hampton Roads Men's Chorus and a fantastic women's ensemble combined to present our contribution to the statewide "Minds Wide Open" "Women in The Arts" campaign on May 15 and 16, 2010. If you missed this concert, you missed a truly awesome perfomance. Check out some photos.
Holiday Brass Was A Smash!
The Holiday Brass Concerts on December 5 and 6, 2009 were enormously successful!
The music of Rutter, Stephen Paulus, carol arrangements by David Willcocks, and a special appearance by the Sisters of Prayerful Synchronization from Pungo (Hilarious!) generated many laudatory comments and a standing ovation at both venues!
Adjectives such as fabulous, phenomenal, exquisite and ethereal were used to describe the performances. Thank-you to all of our guest musicians and singers who did so much to enhance the performance. Soprano, Ann Scott Davis, was brilliant on John Rutter's "Gloria," but exceeded brilliance, going to an indescribable place, on Trois Noëls Français.
Mark your calendars now for the spring concert!
